COVID 19 Vaccine Certificate for International Travel

If you intend travelling overseas you will need to obtain an International Covid 19 Certificate of Vaccination to show you have been fully vaccinated.

To obtain this Certificate you need to have an Australian issued Passport and also have had both Covid 19 vaccines recorded on the Australian Immunisation Register.

You can check if your immunisation records are updated by signing into your myGov account or on the Medicare Express Plus App on your smart phone.

The new certificate contains a secure QR code and can be downloaded from the MyGov website to a smartphone or printed.

If you are not eligible for Medicare and have been vaccinated in Australia you can request a certificate by calling the Australian Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809 or visiting a Services Australia shop.

The certificate will be scanned by border officials on arrival into a country if requested.
